About the event
Tom Ewell is a member of Whidbey Island Friends Meeting in Washington state. He is active with Quaker Voice on Washington Public Policy and with Friends Committee on National Legislation. In this online interview, Tom will discuss his article, "Persistence," which is published in the Jan/Feb 2023 issue of Western Friend. This tells the story of the slow progress that Whidbey Island residents have made through decades of anti-military encroachment organizing toward limiting the actions of the Navy in their community.
