Approximately 700 people at 4 different events around the Sound came out in Coupeville, Port Townsend, Lopez island, and Anacortes to send a message loud and clear – We hear you. Do you hear us. No New Jets No New Flights. Over 700 postcards were sent to our elected officials.
The Department of Defense released their Final EIS on Sept. 28th proposing huge increases: 36 more jets, increased operations at Ault Field, four times more flights at Outlying field in Coupeville (from 6100 to 24,000) and increased geographic noise and pollution over regions of the Pacific Northwest that have not been previously impacted.

2. Post, share, and tweet images of the SDA kickoff events in Coupeville, Lopez, Port Townsend, or Anacortes.
3. Share https://sounddefensealliance.org/sound-off-rally/ and the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SoundDefenseAlliance. Like the FB page, tag elected officials, help take this event viral!
4. Make calls now to Congressman Rick Larsen (202) 225-2605, Senator Patty Murray (202) 224-2621, Senator Maria Cantwell (202) 224-3441, Congressman Derek Kilmer (202) 225-5916 and Governor Jay Inslee (360) 902-4111.

6. Get 10 friends to make calls and send emails. Help build our base! Involve your friends on Whidbey, Seattle, Bellevue, Renton, Bellingham and beyond. Have them contact their congress people. Please do this now!
7. Write a Letter to the Editor, host a gathering to inform people, send post cards, stay tuned for more opportunities. Volunteer at: https://sounddefensealliance.org/join-us/#Join
8. Host and/or attend a screening of Plane Truths and Hear Our Olympics, in your house or in your community center, and invite everybody you know.
9. Share this list and other SDA materials in your networks at church or at the gym, or book club, etc and explain why it’s a good idea.
