About the event

Experience an exclusive screening of NO DEFENSE, the film that sheds light on the truth behind military's PFAS water contamination. This documentary tells the story of the Americans who are fighting against one of the largest- known polluters in the country - the United States military. For decades, it's been documented that a category of chemicals known as PFAS are harmful to life, yet the military continues to mandate its use at hundreds of sites across the country, with no plan in place to clean it up. Instead, the DOD is pressuring regulators to keep this toxin legal.

The screening will be followed by a panelist discussion and Q&A with local and national speakers who will talk about new regulations, what local organizations are doing to combat PFAS pollution, and how our own Navy on Whidbey Island has contributed to our water's PFAS contamination.

RSVP if you want to be part of this important conversation.

No Defense is directed by Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Sara Ganim. Produced by Emmy-award winning journalist Lennart Bourin. Executive Producer Robert P. Ufer.
